Women want to feel clean and smooth all over. Sometimes, hair growths here and there are not a welcome sight. Be patient with these hairs. Just keep yourself clean and fresh all the time. Take frequent baths especially during summer or when you are active in sports.
Hair RemovalAs you reach your teens, you may find it embarrassing to keep those hidden hairs growing. You may want to wear those nice sleeveless blouses and cute little shorts too. Those hairs won’t go well with the latest fashion you have in mind. So what do you do? Young girls may opt to remove these hairs early on.
Tweeze Freeze or Shave Slave? Either way, you need not spend money to have those hairs removed. Tweezing and shaving are both easy to do and very easy on the pocket. A pair of metal tweezers would not cost too much. A razor blade can be bought readily in the supermarket.
Tweeze Freeze
So you prefer tweezing to shaving. You must have much time in your hands and you wouldn’t mind the little redness and soreness that follow afterwards. The good thing about tweezing is, you pluck the entire shaft of hair. This takes hair more time to grow back so you need not do this every week. Once a month will be fine.
Tweeze Tips
Tweezing is great for the face and armpits. These areas are not too large and you can readily get rid of those fine hairs.
- Before tweezing, get a good pair of tweezers with a nice grip and a blunt tip. Don’t get tweezers with sharp tips. You might hurt your skin with this kind of tweezers.
- Get a washcloth and soak this in warm water. Apply the washcloth or towel on the areas you want to pluck. The heat will open the pores and make plucking easier for you. You can also let hot water run for a while until this forms a steam. Stay in the washroom and allow the steam to open those pores. Don’t stay too long and just be careful not to put your face or arms too near the hot water. This could scald you!
- Pluck one hair at a time. Don’t be in a hurry.
- Do not apply lotion or moisturizer after plucking. This can irritate your skin.
- Apply a cold towel or cloth over the plucked areas. The cold will keep redness down and close your pores.
You can expect a little redness and soreness in the area after tweezing. These should disappear after a few hours. Tweezing can be a little painful but you should get used to it after a while.
Shave Slave
You are always in a hurry and you don’t have time to pluck those hairs. You dislike the pain too that comes with tweezing. It makes you go oww! So you prefer to use the reliable and ever ready razor you have at home. Shave away!
Shaving Tips:
- Choose a sharp and clean razor when shaving. Rusty blades can cut your skin and may cause infections.
- Wash the area that you want to shave before you begin. Use a mild soap and warm water to soften the hair.
- You may use a shaving cream or gel to make shaving easier and smoother.
- Don’t apply too much pressure when shaving to avoid cutting your skin.
- Wash the shaved area with cold water to prevent any redness or soreness.
- Wash your razor and tap the razor to get rid of hairs. Let the razor dry before keeping it. Be careful not to touch the blades.
